Apply to have your pension transferred to a social services home

Do you live in a social services home? Is it more practical for you to receive your pension in cash? Ask for your pension to be transferred by collective payment directly to the facility where you are receiving care.

How should I proceed?

Text
  1. Contact the relevant staff member at the social services home and ask for your pension to be sent to that facility. Your written consent is required for the application.
  2. The staff member of the social services home will contact the Social Insurance Agency and ensure that your pension is paid to you by means of a collective payment (pay slip) to that facility.
  3. Wait for the Social Insurance Agency’s written notification of the change.

How long will it take for the Social Insurance Agency to pay my pension to the home?

Text

A maximum of three months, but these should be calculated from the date of the pension payment following the calendar month in which the application was received by the Social Insurance Agency. This means that if your application was received by the Social Insurance Agency on, for example, 10th January and your pension payment date is the 20th of the month, you will have your pension paid by collective payment to the social services home no later than 20th April of that year.
