Go from an invalidity to an old age pension

Are you a beneficiary of an invalidity pension? Have you reached pensionable age? Apply for an old age pension from the Social Insurance Agency.

How do I apply for an old age pension?

1. Follow the instructions in the article How Do I Apply for an Old Age Pension?

2. Only attach documents to your application for an old age pension that have not been submitted in the past with your application for an invalidity pension.

3. The Social Insurance Agency will calculate the amount of your old age pension within a statutory period of 60 days after application submission and compare it with the disability pension paid. On this basis, it will start paying you:
   • The pension which is higher; 
   • the pension you choose if the amount is the same.
4. The Social Insurance Agency will send you a written decision about the change.
