Notify – apply for a pension from another country
When can I apply to the Social Insurance Agency for a pension from another country?
Text
You may only apply for a pension from abroad if you have worked in the EEA States and the Swiss Confederation or in one of the countries with which the Slovak Republic has an international social security treaty (SK). If you worked in a ‘non-treaty country’, you must apply for a pension directly in the country concerned.
How should I proceed?
Text
- Visit the Social Insurance Agency branch according to your place of residence.
- Complete the appropriate forms with the branch employee. If you apply for a pension from the Czech Republic, complete the pension application directly.
- The Social Insurance Agency will claim your pension in the Member State concerned for you and inform you in writing.
- You will then be contacted by the pension security institution of the country where you have acquired your pension entitlement to inform you of the outcome of your application.
