Confirm a pensioner’s residence for an institution abroad

If you worked in a country other than the Slovak Republic during your lifetime and became entitled to an old age pension there, you may be required to prove your residence to the relevant pension insurance institution at regular intervals.

How should I proceed?

  1. Visit the Social Insurance Agency branch according to your place of residence or the Information and Advisory Centre at the Social Insurance Agency headquarters (ul. 29. augusta 8, 813 63 Bratislava 1).
  2. Bring your identity card with you and the completed form from the foreign pension security institution.
  3. An employee of the Social Insurance Agency will verify your identity and validate the form free of charge. 
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

If you receive a pension from the Czech Republic by bank transfer and you reside in Slovakia, you only have to submit your proof of residence to the Czech Social Security Administration once a year (not every quarter).
